Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to identify and describe the steps of implementing the PBL model in improving science learning outcomes for 5th-grade elementary school students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in 2 cycles. Collecting data using test and non-test techniques, data were analyzed using descriptive techniques. The subject of the study was class 5 SDN 1 Sukarara totaling 16 students. The results showed that the cognitive learning outcomes that were completed from the pre-cycle of 7 students (44%) increased to 12 students (76%) in the first cycle and increased to 16 students (100%) in the first cycle. II. The effective learning outcomes in cycle I and cycle II showed that the average respect for 88 increased to 97, participation from 77 increased to 91, cooperation from 78 increased to 86, and responsibility from 83 increased to 89. Psychomotor learning outcomes in cycle I and cycle II averaged the average skill aspect of carrying tools and materials 72 increased to 89, operating tools 81 increased to 89, accuracy from 81 to 91, and demonstrating 83 increased to 97. The results of the study concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve science learning outcomes, both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes.
